The company was established in January 1994. Its initial business was distribution of Sony products. Starting November 1994 the company began to expand the number of brand names and groups of the goods presented. Beside that the company decided to build up its' own branded network of retail shops of home electronics and household appliances. VICOTEC started with about 10 people on staff. Its annual sales were $ 4.5 million in 1994, in 1995 we reached a figure of $ 9.5 million, and we finished the year of 1996 with $ 13.5 million annual sales. Presently company has 120 people on staff altogether, it supplies 40 smaller retail companies throughout Ukraine and beside that the company has six retail shops of its own ( Kyiv, Lviv, Kharkiv, Vinnytsia, Odesa, Rivne) and two more are under construction.

Company's business target is to create a all-Ukrainian network of supermarkets of home electronics and household appliances. At the moment the share of retail shops in VICOTEC's sales equals 50%. As a retailer it is proud to offer to customers good choice of quality products in the following groups of goods: television sets, personal and Hi-Fi audio, car audio, video, refrigeration, washing machines and dish washers, kitchen appliances, personal care and accessories, beside that customers are offered friendly atmosphere in the shops, qualified consultations, service, up-to-door deliveries and professional installations as well. In VICOTEC branded shops you will find a wide choice of different appliances for home entertainment and housekeeping of almost 45 brands as well as different accessories for those appliances.
For our wholesale dealers in regions we are offering the same groups of goods as in retail but with limited brands. We are offering only goods on DDP conditions. At the moment the company is a direct dealer of the following companies: Sony, Pioneer, Daewoo, Supra, Samsung, Philips, Semitech (Nokia TVs), Emtec (BASF Magnetics), General Electric, Electrolux, Braun, Groupe SEB (Tefal, Rowenta), Merloni (Ariston, Indesit), Unomat.
The company has its own logistics and transport department with fleet of trucks which allows us to be more efficient in deliveries and products distribution.

Service is one of the most important parts of the company. At the moment the company is an authorized service agent for the following brands: Philips, Panasonic, Electrolux, Pioneer, Nokia Tvs, Samsung. Service department is experienced on repairs of such brands as Supra, Akai, Funai, Daewoo etc. There are 13 highly qualified people in staff at service.

The main office is in Kiev and service departments are working in Lviv, Kharkiv, Vinnytsia, Odesa.
Company considers itself as one of the biggest trading companies in Ukraine, as well as one of the biggest investors. All the profit of the company is invested into the company's structure. During its existence VICOTEC has invested about US$ 2 million into our staff education, shops and transport.
