The enterprise was set up in 1926 as a clothes factory "Hercules". In 1956 three different factories merged into the factory that produced hoisery and that was reorganized into production and hoisery association. In 1993 the enterprise was registered as a closed joint-stock company "Malva. Production and Trade Enterprise". The company employs 1584 workers and has its own chain of outlets in the town of Chernivtsi. Availability of production equipment manufactured abroad (Italy, Czechia, UK, Japan and Germany) makes it possible to produce over 140 varieties of socks and stockings:
- women cotton stockings;
- women elastic socks;
- tights;
- men socks;
- children stockings.
