The enterprise was founded in1994 on the basis of the property of "Svet Shahtera" plant, since March 1995 it is a joint stock company.

Since February 1996 close joint stock company "Production complex "Svet Shahtera" is the general dealer of Kharkov machine-building plant "Svet Shahtera", and in March 1996 it was enrolled in the catalogue of the World Bank.

Enterprise specialization:
- Selling of mining equipment.
- Selling of coal.
- Production of meat and sausage food.
- Gain processing (mill complex with 400 tons of flour per day power).
- Wholesale and retail trade with food-staffs and national consumption goods.
- Organization of catering places, cafe.

The main courses of the enterprise activity are the following: selling of scraper underground conveyors, re-loaders, explosion-proof devices of mine lighting. The number of scraper underground conveyors total more than 400 modifications, which are completed with driving gear of heightened power for work in highly productive coal-mining mechanized complexes.

CJSC "PE "Svet Shahtera" represent the production of Ukrainian mechanicians at mining exhibitions in Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Lebanon, Syria, Hungary, Germany, Canada, where it was rewarded with diplomas.

In Donetsk and on the basis of engineering plant "Krasniy Oktyabr" Lyeninsk-Kuznetsk (Russia) it was opened "Service center" on selling of the spare parts to the mining equipment.

Together with the Regional Consumers' Association, it was founded a plant on refrigerating equipment production.
