Odesa State Medical University founded in 1900, received the status of university in 1994.
At five faculties: medical ones, stomatological, of post graduate education 4 000 of students study, among them there are about 1 500 foreign citizens from 57 countries of the world.
Training of doctors is fulfilled by 800 lecturers, including 18 Academicians, 108 Professors and Doctors of Sciences, 450 Senior Readers and Candidates of Sciences.
