The enterprise was established in November 1944 on the basis of regional workshops for artillery and infantry arms maintenance.
At the early fifties the profile of the enterprise was changed, and nowadays it is the central plant for radar stations of aerial targets general detection and radar requesters on the aerial targets state belonging maintenance.

Area of production divisions - 11,6 thousand sq. m
Number of working places - 424
Workers qualification - 3-6 category.
Main occupations - radio-mechanic, electrical mechanic, mechanic, turner.

Principal equipment:
- high precision electrical-type devices, radio metering devices of the LF, HF and SHF ranges;
- special stand equipment for radars;
- turning-milling, welding, galvanic and other equipment of general production purpose.

Main directions of activity

1. Overhaul and maintenance of radar stations (RS) of type 1РЛ1З1, 1РЛ132, 1РЛ14, all modifications.
2. Overhaul and maintenance of radar requesters of type 1Л22, 1Л24, 1РЛ23, all modifications.
3. Modernization of systems of the 1РЛ131 product.
4. Maintenance of recognition equipment of the 6110 type.
5. Maintenance of radio metering devices. Electrotechnical and metrological measurements and testing.
6. Development and manufacturing of stand equipment, which is used in maintenance of radars of various types.
7. Manufacturing of training classes for studying samples of the radar arms, simulators' making.
8. Restoration of efficiency of radar arms in forces.
9. Manufacture, preparation, testing and conservation of spare parts for radar stations.
10. Manufacture of tools and equipment of general (wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.) and of special purpose (nozzles, removers, clamps, and others).
11. Total dismantling of products (Radars - РЛ131,1РЛ132,1Л22, 1Л24, 1РЛ23) of category V and selection (categorization) of assemblies, parts after dismantling; complete utilization of unserviceable parts and assemblies; collection of non-ferrous metals and irons produced by utilization.
12. Production of consumer's goods (garages, decorative gates, hand-rail, joiner's and saddler's products, artistic forging, metal works, etc.).

Perspectives of development

Program of modernization of the 1РЛ131 radar has been developed at the enterprise. The program provides for stepwise modernization of separate product's systems and development of new radar systems.
As a result of this work the outdated units and assemblies of the radar will be replaced with the new ones built using modern technologies and element base, which will considerably improve reliability of operation of the 1РЛ131 product and its performance characteristics.

At present, modernization of the 1РЛ131 product has been already made in the following directions:

Improvement of performance characteristics of a receiver system of the product.
The enterprise fabricates high frequency amplifiers, which are designed to be included into reception channel of the radar. Due to the low noise coefficient, narrow transmission band and wide dynamic range, protection of the radar against active noise interference is improved greatly.

Improvement of performance parameters of the product's timing system.
To improve reliability of timing system of the station and stability of its parameters the enterprise manufactures the timing unit based on modern element base.

On-line inspection of technical state of the principal systems of the radar.
The new system displays control marks on a screen of the circular scan indicator, which presence informs an operator on a state of equipment. The system performs on-line inspection of technical state of transmitting, receiving and antenna-feeder system of the product.

Temperature condition optimization in the radar booth.
A system of air conditioning in the RS booth has been developed and fabricated. Powerful conditioner allows maintaining the air temperature in the product's booth within the range 20-25 °С, when the ambient temperature is from 0 to +50 °С. Optimal temperature condition positively reflects on both work efficiency and reliability of the product.

Improvement of performance of communication system of the product .
The new system of our own production has been developed and fabricated in order to replace the regular system of loudspeaker communication system of the product, which is produced abroad. Operation of the equipment on the objects demonstrated its reliability and quality of communication.

Improvement of performance parameters of the product protection system.
The enterprise carries out modernization of the RS protection system. Installation of special unit ensures suppression of the active noise and pulse interference, and the receiving system noise is removed from indicator screens. The unit increases probability of detection of long-range targets, and has the self-control system.

Replacement of the outdated receiving system of the product and anti-noise system.
The receiving system and system of protection of the 1РЛ131 product is made on vacuum-tube devices and they are technically and morally outdated nowadays. The enterprise plans manufacturing these systems in 2003 on the base of modern element base with usage of new anti-noise algorithms for the RS.

Personnel training for the RS maintenance and operation.
Recently, the enterprise has developed and manufactured training classes, which are the complete set of the RS equipment, electrified stands and posters, and installed them in educational institutions. The product's antenna is located outside and therefore the training class is in fact working station, which "sees" targets. Usage of such training class allows considerable improvement of the instruction efficiency.
