Podillya Tovtry, National Park of Nature

"Podillya Tovtry" National Natural Park was established in 1996 pursuant to the order of the President of Ukraine with a purpose of preservation, rehabilitation, and rational use of natural landscapes.

According to research and control institutions, the south-western Podillya area stayed beyond the Chornobyl accident radioactivity contamination zone.

Extensive deposits of mineral water have been discovered on the territory of the park. An average source productivity is 60 cubic meters per day.

“Podillya Tovtry” Park occupies an area of 261316 hectares, or 12.5% of the area of Khmelnytsky Oblast.

Versatility of the natural resources and recreational potential of the Park can be the basis for establishment of a developed network of international tourism, hunting and fishing.
